Dates to Remember

April 1 - Tuition Due.  Late payments are subject to a $10 late payment fee.  Please mail payments to our office using the pre-addressed envelope you receive with your statement.  Please write your account ID on your check. 

Monday, March 29 - Friday, April 2 -  Spring Break.  No School, No EDS. 

Monday, April 5 - In-Service Day at Eisenhower Elementary  School.  Parents from Baker and Streams must drop-off and pick-up from the cafeteria at Eisenhower.  EDS in session from 7 AM-6 PM.  Field trip to Heinz Field. Please be at Eisenhower by 8:30 AM.

USC In-Service Day - April 5 - Heinz Field

(Families must sign-up in advance for any in-service day they would like to attend.  You will receive a sign-up email prior to the in-service day or you may click here to sign-up now.  (If you sign-up for the day, you will be required to pay for the day, regardless of whether you attend the day.)   

Day: Monday, April 5 (Sign-up deadline is Tues, Mar 30)

Time: We are open from 7:00 AM-6:00 PM.  Please be at Eisenhower Elementary School by 8:30 AM.  We will return about 2:00 PM.

Cost: There is a $33 tuition charge per child for the full-day in-service day.  An additional charge of $13 per child will appear on your statement to cover the cost of the field trip and transportation.  All children who attend EDS on this day will be going on the field trip.

Dress: Comfortable clothing and plain yellow EDS T-shirt (if your child does not have one yet, we will give him one, and a $5 T-shirt charge will appear on your statement)  This field trip is rain or shine - please dress appropriately!

Bring: Please pack your child's lunch in a plastic bag (ziploc or grocery bag).  Children will not need backpacks or spending money.

South Fayette

Thursday, April 1-Monday, April 5 - Spring Break.  No School, No EDS.  (April 5 is an In-Service Day for USC.  South Fayette families may attend the USC In-Service at Eisenhower Elementary School in USC if they wish.  See the April 5 In-Service Day section in the Upper St. Clair section of this newsletter for additional info.)    

Tuesday, April 6 - Staff Development Delay - 2 hour late start.  EDS in session from 7 AM until the beginning of the school day. These delay mornings will carry an extra $7 charge for the additional hours.

Thursday, April 29 - Early Dismissal at 12 PM for the Elementary School and 11:15 for the Middle School.  No PM K-Plus.  Afterschool program begins at 11:15 for Middle School and 12 PM for Elementary School.  No lunch is served.  Please pack a lunch for your child. (See below for more details)

SF Staff Development Delay Day - April 6

April 6 will be a staff development delay morning. If your child is enrolled in the before school program on Mondays, we will be extending the morning program on these days to accommodate the morning delay. Therefore, the before school program will run from 7:00 AM until the beginning of the school day at 11:00 AM.  These delay mornings will carry can extra $7 charge for the additional hours. 

 We regret that if your child is not normally enrolled on Monday mornings, we will not be able to add these staff delay days to your child's schedule as an "extra morning" due to staffing constraints. If you wish to add Monday mornings to your child's schedule on a permanent basis, please call the office at 412 221-1980.

SF Early Dismissal - Thursday, April 29

After School Program

The after school program will be in session from the time of dismissal (12 PM for Elem. and 11:15 AM for Middle) until 6:00 PM.  

 If your child does not normally attend the after school program on Thursdays, and you are in need of care after the dismissal time, please click here to send us an email or call us at 412 221-1980 and let us know.  We can make arrangements for you.

District Kindergarten and K-Plus Program

The district will be holding AM kindergarten in the morning on this day and dismissing AM kindergarten children at 12:00 PM to ride buses home.  (No PM Kindergarten)

EDS will be holding AM K-Plus in the morning on this day and dismissing AM K-Plus children at 12:00 PM to ride buses home. (No PM K-Plus)

If your kindergarten child normally attends the afterschool program on this day, he will stay with us for the afterschool program, which will begin at 12:00 PM on this day.  

If your kindergarten child does NOT normally attend the after school program on this day, and you are in need of care after the 12:00 PM dismissal time, please click here to send us an email or call us at 412 221-1980 and let us know.  We can make arrangements for you. 

Any child staying for the afterschool program, please remember to pack a lunch.  There will be no cafeteria service on this day!

Chartiers Valley

CV In-Service Day - April 6 - Heinz History Center

If your child attends the afternoon session and will not be attending the program on a day he or she is scheduled to attend, please notify the program no later than 2:00 PM the day of the intended absence.  Our phone numbers are:

Our voice mail answers 24 hours a day. If we do not receive notice that your child will be absent on an afternoon that he or she is scheduled to attend, you will be charged a $10 no call fee.

 We cannot allow children to go anywhere but to the program if they are scheduled to be with us and we have not been notified by a parent or authorized guardian. We must enforce this policy for the safety of all the children.
